MOH:PA IGN REVIEW – 06/11/04 -Posted by John Crichton
Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault is not my favorite Medal of Honor game to date. There are some great ideas here along with a few very intensely entertaining moments and situations. I really wish they had been able to space out the many, linear jungle battles with more interesting engagements in larger open areas and more men where the AI actually managed to engage the enemy successfully in order for these battles to feel more realistic.
If there had been more variation on mission type, enemy AI hadn't cheated, and the feel of the weapons had been more solid, the gameplay could have lived up the awesome presentation value that the rest of the package promised. As it is, Pacific Assault is a decent game, but not something I would recommend to all FPS players. OVERALL SCORE WAS 7.8

SE7EN is Getting Missionary Anti-Cheat - 13/01/04 -Posted by John Crichton
Cheat Free
For almost 2 years now, players have been asking for a cheat free environment. Many anti-cheats have come out, with DMW2 being one of the latest, all than have been defeated by the cheats in moments (DMW2 can be defeated by some of the oldest cheats out there, not to mention the new ones). Now we have finally made one which should last. It was released to the cheats over 4 months ago and they have not gotten by it, yet it is not being supported. We are moving our server to one that requires Missionary. so that we can finally play with the confidence that all is fair, and no one seems to want to download the program and use it. Yes it may require a little work on your part, but good things usually do. So now it is time to step up to the pump and decide what you want. That which you have asked for or what is easiest.
IW Blackbart
Well Chaps this is the Way SE7EN thinks it should be. If this is true then Expect it to Show up all Cheats. Our matches will be interesting I think if all is True. If not then well at least we can say We tried. Link to it will be on website soon. Its in our forums at the mo. PLEASE, oh PLEASE let this be true!
IGN and Gamespy Merge - 05/12/03 -Posted by John Crichton
Former rivals IGN Entertainment and GameSpy Industries have kissed and made up and have signed a definitive merger agreement creating the Web's largest network of destination sites for gamers. Both brands will remain separate entities.
The combination will create the Internet's largest gaming audience and its highest traffic PC and console game content network with 673 million page views per month (IGN/GameSpy internal logs). According to third-party auditor comScore NetScore data, IGN and GameSpy attract more than 22 million unduplicated unique visitors per month worldwide, and they rank number one in unduplicated U.S. audience reach with both comScore Media Metrix and Nielsen//NetRatings in the gaming information category.
"This combination offers tremendous synergies as GameSpy and IGN have very complementary strengths," said Mark Jung, IGN's CEO and CEO of the new, combined company. "GameSpy is the market leader with the PC game audience, game downloads and online gaming technology. IGN is the market leader with the console game audience and in community services such as message boards."
"Combining IGN and GameSpy will create value for both our audience and our clients," said Mark Surfas, founder and chairman of GameSpy, who will serve as the Chief Strategy Officer and will join the other Mark on the Board of Directors. "For the gamer, this merger will provide the broadest array of information, services and content choices. For game publishers and advertisers, it creates a platform with the widest reach and the deepest set of marketing tools to target gamers and young men in general."
LucasArts confirmed today that they are currently working on Star Wars: Battlefront, a multiplayer online shooter set in the Star Wars universe. The game liberally borrows concepts from EA's Battlefield series, transplanting the competitive online shooter and vehicle action into the Star Wars galaxy.
Featuring soldier sets from the series such as Stormtroopers, Rebel pilots, Republic Guards and the like, and a wide variety of vehicles from the films, players will be able to take part in epic battles from both the original series (Episodes IV, V, VI) as well as the prequel trilogy (Episode I, II, III) across the reaches of the vast Star Wars universe.
While no release date is being stated as of now, Star Wars: Battlefront is currently in development for PC, PS2 and Xbox.
CLAN NEWS UPDATE - 21/10/03 -Posted by John Crichton
Hi all and welcome Back. I have made some changes to the website as you may have noticed. I have tried to make it a bit brighter and I have updated the members page so that we are all back together instead of Squads. The CS Rankings are not up at the moment because they too are making changes so if yours is missing or name is different don’t worry. As soon as they have them I will add them.
SE7EN is in hibernation at Present but I have started a thread of in the forum about bringing us back. I feel that we lost the way and we need to FIGHT the GOOD FIGHT again. As many know we have had a few hiccups of late but its time to move on and forget about them. This CLAN stands for FUN and by god we are gonna make sure that is our FIRST AIM and is more important than winning.
SE7EN is gonna start recruiting as we have many players that are gone or simply not playing at the moment. If your interested in joining us plz see the joining info which needs updating (rules) lol or just add a founder on MSN which u can find on the MEMBERS page on the left links. (founders are JC, Atli, Stug, Lino) All are welcome.

Interesting Read - 23/10/03 -Posted by John Crichton
The Associated Press is reporting that Sony Computer Entertainment, Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games have been named in a $246 million lawsuit that claims the Grand Theft Auto series "inspires and trains players to shoot at vehicles and persons" after a pair of Virginia teens killed one woman and seriously wounded another on June 25.
Take-Two and Rockstar had this to say:
The Company believes that the claims against it are without merit and are similar to lawsuits brought and uniformly dismissed by courts in other jurisdictions where the plaintiffs' sought to hold entertainment companies responsible for the violent behavior of individuals who used those company's products. The Company intends to defend vigorously the action against it and seek a dismissal of the action.
The suit seeks $46 million in compensatory damages and $200 million in punitive damages from Sony Computer Entertainment, Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games, as the marketers, publishers and designers of the Grand Theft Auto series.
Attorney Jack Thompson is representing the families of the shooting victims and has previously made charges against Halo, Everquest and other popular titles as diversions that promote violence.
